Oil Tanks - Installation

Why choose Tevis & Modern Comfort Systems for your oil or propane installation?   Because we’re meticulous.

No company respects your time and your property more than we do.
No company pays more attention to the details than we do.
No company manages your installation as diligently as we do, and
We’ll communicate with you!

Our goal is to give you a professional-looking and safe installation that will enhance your enjoyment, as well as the value of your home.

We carefully schedule and manage every job, so we never have to “cut corners” or rush off to another job leaving you wondering when your installation will be finished. A thoroughly completed installation is what you deserve and what we deliver… every time!

Every installation is unique, and some do not required all of the steps outlined in the above link. Our staff will explain the exact steps that will be taken to ensure your installation is successfully completed.

Although oil tank installations are not subject to any inspection process, you can count on Tevis to adhere to the same high standards of workmanship and professionalism, whether you are replacing an aging oil tank, or adding, or converting to oilheat!

Aboveground or Below?

Your tank can be installed above or below ground. This decision is usually based on individual preference and any property-related factors that may exist, such as ground composition or lot size.

We have several aboveground oil tanks to choose from, including ZCL, Roth, and conventional 275 gallon steel tanks.  Any of these are a good choice and can be installed outside your home, or in your basement or garage for added protection.  Click here to learn more about your choice of oil tanks.

If your above-ground tank is located in an area that is exposed to very cold temperatures, we will add a highly-effective anti-gelling agent with every fill to keep your fuel flowing freely.

Aboveground tanks offer an advantage over underground tanks in that you can see and inspect them very easily. With proper care and maintenance, your aboveground tank will provide many years of dependable service to your heating system.

Our underground oil tanks come with a 30-year manufacturer’s warranty and are made of 7-gauge steel with a polyurethane coating. We also use anodes which provide further protection against corrosion that would otherwise occur as a result of the natural electrochemical reaction between the tank and the surrounding soil. Such materials promote long underground tank life and are exceptionally safe for the environment.
