Caring for your Oil Heat System

Oil Delivery Options

Tevis Energy has two different oil delivery plans: automatic delivery or will-call. To eliminate the inconvenience and guesswork of watching your own oil gauge, predicting your oil needs, and the possibility of running out of oil at the worst possible time, most Tevis Energy customers enroll in our automatic delivery plan.

Tevis Energy Automatic Delivery Benefits:

  • Priority Delivery Service, including 24-hour emergency delivery service
  • No Run-Out Guarantee: if you run out of oil, Tevis Energy will deliver oil and get you warm as soon as possible, any day of the week, any hour of the day! We will also credit your account $50 for the inconvenience!
  • Lower Price per gallon, and the option of spreading the cost of your Tevis Energy oil deliveries into equal and lower monthly payments!
  • No minimum gallon requirement for regularly scheduled automatic deliveries
  • TLC Price Protection eligibility – This optional program is intended to provide customers a measure of protection against the possibility of sharp increases in oil prices, to learn more, click here
  • Summer Delivery Hold Option – Put your Tevis Energy Oil Deliveries on hold and restart them in the fall.

How does Automatic Delivery work?

Tevis Energy will monitor outdoor temperatures, weather forecasts, and your actual household oil consumption to schedule your next delivery. There are many factors that affect your individual oil consumption: the size of your home, equipment efficiency, personal habits, etc.

Three deliveries are usually enough to understand your usage patterns. Until then we’ll take a very conservative approach to your fuel delivery to ensure that you don’t run out of fuel.

Please call us if you make any changes that could affect your oil consumption. Common causes include:

  • a new baby or additional house guest
  • a finished basement or room addition
  • increases (or decreases) in the use of woodstoves or room heaters
  • illness

Or, if you find that you’re reaching for the thermostat more often than before, please call us, at 410-876-6800.  Tevis Energy will recalculate your anticipated usage.

With "will-call," the Tevis Energy customer is responsible for watching their oil consumption and calling when they need a delivery.

  • Please allow 3 business days for deliveries
  • Minimum Tevis Energy will-call delivery is 150 gallons
