Oil Heat systems

•	Perform efficiency test
•	Inspect and adjust burner
•	Inspect and adjust heat exchanger
•	Check thermostat operation
•	Lubricate all motors, bearings, fans, and circulator pumps (if necessary)
•	Replace nozzle
•	Inspect and adjust operation of safety and operating controls
•	Inspect flue pipe
•	Check blower motor (and belt, if applicable)
•	Inspect and tighten all wiring and connections
•	Inform customer of equipment condition, and recommend necessary repairs

Gas Heat systems

•	Perform efficiency test
•	Test for carbon monoxide
•	Inspect and adjust burner
•	Check thermostat operation
•	Lubricate all motors, bearings, fans, and circulator pumps (if necessary)
•	Inspect pilot assembly
•	Inspect and adjust operation of safety and operating controls
•	Inspect flue pipe and gas valve
•	Check blower motor (and belt, if applicable)
•	Inspect and tighten all wiring and connections
•	Inspect heat exchanger
•	Inform customer of equipment condition, and recommend necessary repairs

Central Air / Heat Pump systems

•	Lubricate all moving parts, such as blower motor and condenser fan (if necessary)
•	Check suction line temperature and pressure
•	Check temperature drip between return and supply air
•	Flush condensate drain to protect against overflow
•	Clean the outdoor condenser coil
•	Check blower motor (and belt, if applicable)
•	Check blower speed
•	Inspect all controls for proper operation
•	Check voltage and amperage in all motors
•	Check for worn bearings in all motors
•	Inspect operation and condition of compressor contacts
•	Inspect start and run capacitors and relays for bulges, rust and leaks
•	Inspect and adjust thermostat / mercury bulb
•	Inform customer of equipment condition, and recommend necessary repairs
