Delivery
Tevis heating oil and kerosene customers have the option of our guaranteed
automatic delivery service or calling us
when they need fuel delivered. To
eliminate the inconvenience and guesswork of watching
your own fuel gauge, predicting your fuel needs, and
the possibility of running out of fuel at the worst
possible time, we strongly recommend automatic delivery.
With
automatic delivery, we watch outdoor temperature
using the industry-standard “degree days,”
weather forecasts, and your actual
household oil consumption
(or “K factor”)
to schedule your next delivery.
Every
home is unique. There are many factors that affect
your oil consumption: the size of your home, equipment
efficiency, personal habits, etc. These and other
factors are used to calculate your home’s “K
factor.” Three deliveries is usually enough
to establish a reliable K factor. Until then we’ll
take a very conservative approach to your fuel delivery
to ensure that you don’t run out of fuel.

call us if you make any changes
that could affect your oil consumption.
Our
automatic
delivery guarantee: If you run out of oil
because we failed to properly schedule your delivery,
we will credit your account $50!
Automatic
delivery customers also receive a 1 cent per gallon
savings, and 24-hour delivery service if you have or are in danger of running out of oil.
Will-Call Delivery
With "will-call" the customer is responsible for watching their oil consumption and calling when they need a delivery. Our minimum will-call delivery is 150 gallons. While we do our best to provide prompt service to all customers, will-call customers should allow 2 business days for delivery.
