| If
you have oilheat, YOU already KNOW that no other fuel
provides the comfort and value that oil does! But
did you also know...
Oilheat
feels warmer because it is warmer!
Oil heats a home faster than any other type of fuel
because its flame burns hotter… more than 600º
hotter than natural gas, for instance. It takes almost
50% more natural gas to produce the same amount of
heat that heating oil produces. And electric heat
pumps?? They don’t even come close to providing
the cozy comfort that oilheat does. Click

Oilheat
is Reliable!
Oil heats better than other fuels. That’s why
so many home and business owners in America continue
to put their trust in oilheat.
The
reliability you personally experience with
oilheat has a lot to do with the company from whom
you purchase your oil. This where the differences
between the local oil companies become most apparent,
AND, frankly, where Tevis shines above all
the rest!

In
the 75+ years Tevis has been in business, despite
a multitude of adverse market and weather conditions,
Tevis has never been unable to meet the needs
of its customers… NEVER! In fact, during exceptionally
treacherous winter storms, when other companies have
closed up shop and pulled their trucks off the road,
Tevis has “manned” its phones 24 x 7,
and made emergency fuel deliveries using 4-wheel drive
trucks, when necessary. (Our safety record matches
our record of customer commitment.)
In
addition, Tevis has long-standing relationships with
several reputable wholesalers, ensuring that we will
always have more than an adequate supply of fuel to
meet the needs our customers.
Oilheat
is Clean!
Heating oil is non-toxic, biodegradable, contains
no carcinogens, and burns as cleanly as natural gas
and propane. Technological advances in oilheat have
reduced its emissions
to such a degree that, in 1996, the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency affirmed that oil is one of the
cleanest burning fuels in the U.S.
Oilheat
is Safe!
Heating oil is one of the safest fuels ever developed.
It won't burn in a liquid state. If a lit match were
dropped into it, the oil would extinguish the flame,
just like water does! To be ignited, oil must be vaporized.
This only occurs under pressure at 140°F. Properly
set and maintained oil burners produce very low, safe
levels of carbon monoxide as a normal part of the
combustion process. And if there is ever a malfunction
in your heating system, there's little or no need
to worry about an explosion or carbon monoxide fumes.
Oilheat
Gives You Freedom!
Oilheat
gives you the freedom to choose your fuel supplier.
If you are dissatisfied with your provider, you have
the ability to take your business elsewhere!
Tevis
has low customer turn-over. Many of our customers
have been with us for 35 years or more.
