Worried about high fuel prices?
We're WITH you! |
Be Prepared… Be Safe!
When trying to stretch your heating dollars, please make safety your #1 priority.
Don’t run out of fuel. This puts your family and property at great risk, and results in a fee to restart your burner. If Automatic Delivery is not an option for you, please call us to schedule a delivery when your tank is about 1/3 to 1/4 full, and allow up to 3 days for delivery. Please don’t wait until your tank is empty to call! |
Get on CMP early in the season, and make your payments every month. If CMP is not an option for you, make smaller monthly “pre-payments” to ensure future deliveries. We will help you develop a payment strategy that works for you. |
Carefully follow manufacturers’ instructions for all types of heating equipment. |
When using an alternative heat source, only use appliances that are approved for home heating. |
Never use a stove, oven, grill, or any other cooking appliance to heat your home. |
Never bring a propane tank into your house, except as instructed for a portable propane heater. |
Place portable heaters on a flat surface, at least three feet away from anything flammable. |
Keep children and animals away from portable heaters. |
Never leave a candle or portable heater unattended. Turn them off before going to sleep. |
Avoid using extension cords with electric heaters. |
Install a carbon monoxide detector in your home. |
Be sure there is a working smoke alarm on every level of your home. |
Have fireplace chimneys cleaned before use, and use a screen large and heavy enough to stop sparks and rolling logs. |
Have a working fire extinguisher in your home. |
Make sure everyone knows at least two ways out of every part of the home, including sleeping areas. |
